Our Story

Grace Connection was founded after a move of the Holy Spirit where God spoke to us and called us to be a church like the one you read about in the book of Acts. Specifically, the diverse and evangelistic church in Antioch (Acts 11-13), a church marked by the grace of God, sending people on God’s mission.

From the beginning, all of our churches have been founded on the rich doctrines of God’s grace. We preach grace and cultivate a culture of grace; we root out religion and works by preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. This shared conviction forms a deep connection between all of our churches: we are a family of churches founded on the grace of God. In Paul’s second letter to the Corinthian church in the bible, he says to them ‘you are in our hearts, to die together and to live together’ (2 Corinthians 7:3) and we strive to have the same attitude today. We share life together, support one another through hardship and pray, give and love one another generously, all for the glory of God.

We are convinced that God has promised to set before us an open door (Revelation 3) and believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and sovereign over His church. Grace Connection currently consists of six churches or church plants but we believe God has called us to much more.

We long for the day when we’re regularly planting new, local churches across the UK and beyond. Our mandate is simply the Great Commission: to take the gospel to every people and tribe in every generation. We exist to preach Christ, to baptise believers and make disciples as we plant churches. We’ve taken the first steps on this journey with churches in Nottingham, Birmingham and Manchester in the UK, and churches in Blantyre in Malawi, but there’s still a long way to go.

We are believing God for great things and taking hold of His promises for our future as a family of churches.
